Kris is a disease ecologist with interests in global health, conservation and sustainable development. He is an Assoc. Prof. and Lead for Planetary Health at the MRC Unit the Gambia at London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, as well as a Senior Lecturer at Imperial College London where he works within the MRC Centre for Global Infectious Disease Analysis. Kris works primarily on the links between environmental change (climate, land use, biodiversity loss) and infectious disease risks in wildlife and people, spanning lab, field and modelling methods. Kris has been involved as an expert in several international consortia aiming to increase the level of collaboration and integration between environmental and health sciences, including One Health, to make progress on key global sustainability challenges.
